Course Venue
Mehmet Akif Ersoy Experimental Research & Development Center (IDEA) / Istanbul / Turkiye.
The dissection consists of three half-day parts i.e. Facial Plastics, Endoscopic Sinus Surgery, Temporal Bone
Dissection.
ESS:
Systematic nasal endoscopy
Unsinectomy - maxillary antrostomy
TBD:
Facial nerve decompression
Endolymphatic sac surgery
Translabyrinthine approach
FP:
Skin cancer reconstruction
Structured anatomic preparation, each step referring to clearly defined anatomical landmarks, after master dissection.
Training places for dissection are well-equipped with HD-videoendoscopy, a large variety of microsurgical instruments.
Experienced faculty with full interaction during the course.
Intensive supervision with at least one experienced supervisor for each specimen.
Specific adjunctive course material, including access to essential videoclips of crucial surgical steps as well as accompanying hand-outs.
Each anatomical specimen is subject to dissection by two participants.
Two observers will attend the dissections, without dissecting the specimens.
